Sleep Disorders

  • Acupressure & Yoga for Insomnia: Gentle acupressure combined with stretching;  a great relief for insomnia
  • Progressive Relaxation: In this practice, you will learn to contract and release various muscle groups.  Great before bedtime, or anytime your body begins to hold stress (in the shoulders, lower back, or neck).

Psychological Imbalances

  • Breathe to Beat the Blues: Breathing exercises to reduce anxiety and depression.
  • Mindful Eating: Have you ever eaten an entire three-course meal in 10 minutes or less?  Do you eat at your desk, in front of the television, or while driving?  Learning to eat mindfully (whether you are dieting or not), and you will learn a new way to appreciate your food and nourish your body.

Everyday Yoga

  • Desktop Yoga: Stress Relief at your PC; stretches for the office chair and at the computer; these are critical to surviving a desk job.
  • Airplane Yoga for the Frequent Flyer: whether you are traveling a few hours or a few days; these simple exercises can save your life.
  • Mindful Yoga. A series of gentle yoga stretches that can be practiced and modified according to your own mobility. One series is designed for practice on the floor; the other is a standing routine. In both routines, the yoga is practiced with moment-to-moment awareness.

Meditations

  • Basic Meditation: learn the fundamentals of meditation either sitting on the floor or in chair.
  • The Lovingkindness Meditation: This is a meditation where we cultivate positive emotional states towards others as well as ourselves.  With continued practice, you will bring more harmony into your relationships, experience less conflict, and deepen connections with other people.

Pain Management

The Body Scan Meditation: This is a method of relaxing the entire body without moving; it is a guided meditation where you visualize each part of your body, guide your breath to that part of your body, and relax.  It’s like doing yoga without moving your body; this is an excellent practice for pain management.
