Sleep Prep Techniques

  • LUNAR YOGA: Learn postures and breathing methods that prepare us for sleep. Instruction is also provided on accupressure points to release tension and prepare the body for rest.
  • PROGRESSIVE RELAXATION: Learn to contract and release muscle groups as you prepare for sleep or anytime you need to actively relax.

Psychological Imbalances
  • BEAT THE BLUES: Learn yoga sequences that open your heart, pump oxygen into your system and elevate your mood. Customized to meet your needs.
  • REST AND DIGEST: If you are hypervigilant and anxious, consider learning breathing exercises that activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Learn to manage anxiety with yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation.

Everyday Yoga

  • DESKTOP YOGA: Tied to the desk? Learn how to use your computer to program stretch breaks. Learn how to use your office chair, desk top, cubicle or office to keep energy moving through your body.
  • AIRPLANE YOGA: Learn how to use travel time to keep your body healthy.  Whether you are waiting in line, waiting for your baggage, seated in flight, or moving around the airplane, learn simple exercises you can do to keep your body healthy.
  • MINDFUL YOGA: In mindful yoga, the tempo of practice is slower and modified for mobility. Learn how to practice on the floor or standing with moment-to-moment awareness.

Meditation 101 
  • BASIC MEDITATION WITH THE BREATH: Learn the fundamentals of seated meditation either on the floor or in a chair.
  • MEDITATION WITH MANTRA: A mantra is a repeated phrase that provides the mind with an 'anchor' during meditation; the mantra can be spoken silently or audibly.
  • LOVINGKINDNESS MEDITATION: This is a meditation where we cultivate positive emotional states towards others AND to ourselves.  With continued practice, this mediation will bring more harmony into your relationships, ease conflict, and deepen connections with other people.

Pain Management

THE BODY SCAN MEDITATION: This is a method of relaxing the entire body without moving; it is a guided meditation where you visualize each part of your body, guide you breath to that part of your body, and consciously relax that area.  It is much like doing yoga without moving your body, and it is excellent for pain management.
